Pinewood Derby

Pinewood derby cars are small wooden models that are raced in competition. The cars are powered by gravity and run down a track. Every scout can design and build their own car to enter in the race.

In Pack 34, our annual race takes place in the month of February with District and Council races in the following months for scouts who would like additional opportunities to race.

Raingutter Regatta

In the raingutter regatta, boats race down a narrow channel. The scouts design and build a wind-powered sailboat, and the boats are blown down the channel.

In Pack 34, we include a Raingutter Regatta with our Spring Rack Advancement Picnic.
