Tigers (1st Grade)

An exciting opportunity for first graders (or 7 years old) to participate in scouting.  This program is intended to open up the world to inquisitive minds along with the guidance of adults.

Tiger Den Leader:

Every Tiger Den is required to have a registered den leader whose responsibilities include:

  • Work directly with other den leaders to ensure that their den is an active and successful part of the pack.
  • Coordinate shared leadership among the Tiger Cub adult partners, ensuring that den meetings and outings are planned, prepared for, and conducted by all adult partners on a rotating basis, and that the den activities provide advancement opportunities for the scouts in the den.
  • Attend committee meetings.
  • Lead the den at meetings and pack activities.
  • Ensure the transition of boys in the Tiger Cub den into a Wolf den at the end of the year.

Tiger Uniform

The uniform is an important part of the Scouting program, especially for the youngest scouts just starting their cub scout journey. It identifies the scouts and adults with Tiger Cubs and gives them a sense of belonging to the den, the pack, and the Boy Scouts of America. Scouts enjoy wearing their Tiger Cub uniform. They should wear it to all den meetings, pack meetings, and special pack activities.

The pack provides each NEW scout with one class B t-shirt uniform. We wear these to help identify the group when we are out doing physical activities in our community. We encourage our families to pick up a class B for everyone in the family.
